I just moved into a brand new luxury apartment in Columbus Square, specifically the 808 building with the no fee rentals option they had – and there’s so much to review here, it may be tough to get it all in. Let me start with the neighborhood.

The Neighborhood – Upper West Side, New York City

I’ve lived in a few bad parts around the city where the absurd can be accounted for the norm, so it’s pretty difficult to complain about the apartment rentals in the Upper West Side. The people here are very friendly and social, and the cultural opportunities on this side of town are pretty diverse – there’s someone for everyone. Surrounded by Lincoln Center and places like the Folk Art Museum, the location expels a dash of sophistication with a modern and artsy feel, and when you add that to some of the restaurants on Amsterdam and Columbus, the location breathes great life. The view, of course, is nothing short of breathtaking. A glimpse of Central Park with a sunset view, a clear view at the river as well in every wake of the morning with my coffee can only be described as a relaxing feel that is only triggered by vacation days.

The Amenities

There are also a number of very local amenities that make Columbus Square the ideal apartment rentals in NYC for me. The gym, which I use frequently, is very clean, with a never ending stock of fresh, fluffy white towels to use. It’s a great place to excercise with a crowd that I that click with.

My bank is a block away from my apartment, which is great for my usual banking runs. But perhaps the most convenient and important amenity for any apartment rentals in NYC, though, is that there’s a WholeFoods store anchored right at the bottom of the building where I live, making an easy commute for my weekly grocery shopping. Gone are the days of dreadful, long subway trips to the nearest WholeFoods for fresh organics. With convenience like this, heavy bags of grocery is only a doorman and an elevator ride away for fresh produce and meats.

Inside the Apartment

I have a cozy 1 bedroom apartment space that’s as clean and simple. Although the bed seems to be the dominate furniture in this rental as of now, the kitchen is located right near my bedroom. 2 words: T.V. dinners. The kitchen has marble-styling throughout as well as stainless steel appliances, so I feel like I’m a television chef when I cook dinner.

The Columbus Square Staff

The staff here is more than helpful and always seem to go the extra mile to suit my needs. They’ve been very accommodating at every turn.

I moved in with a no fee rentals option, which was one of the factors that drew me into exploring the apartment furthermore. I never thought I’d be living in a place like this, and I am proud to be a resident in this newly developed apartment. 808 Columbus

The 29 story 808 Columbus building was established on May 2009 stretching from 97th and 100th Streets and became available to the market offering a little more than 400 sq feet of space for studios, as well as one to four bedroom apartments, and penthouses. Upon availability , the apartment rentals complex issued a no fee option to attract more potential residents into the luxury living space.

The Amenities

There are a number of local amenities in Columbus Square apartment rentals, one being such as the gym, as well as a swimming pool, a children’s playroom, and parking spaces for car owners. As of 2009, Columbus Square amenities are open to the current residents only, with the foreseeable possibility of being available to the public in the future.

Branding Adjustments

The five tower apartment rental development replaced the town of Columbus Village. Initially named “Columbus Circle” in the beginning, the apartment rental complex changed its name to Columbus Square to avoid confusion with the current Columbus Circle location in Midtown Manhattan.

Columbus Square consists of five luxury no fee apartment rentals located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, in New York City.
